Welcome back to Tangential Parenting. We’re pleased to announce that we’re now available on Spotify! If you like to use it, follow us from our show page, or use the app to search for us. For some reason the Web Player doesn’t bring back podcasts, but the desktop app and the mobile apps work just fine. Just search for our show title.
In this week’s episode, we talk about how to travel with your kids. We both have a lot of experience with car travel, whether it’s driving to see family or visit a cabin. Our tips include planning for the time, how to travel to minimize disruption to routines, tricks to have a quiet trip, and keeping them entertained. Whether it’s a box full of toys, finding local rest stops, or just taking advantage of the evening, we’ve tried a lot of them.
Rachel also provides tips on flying with kids. I’ve never done that myself, but she has plenty of experience. She shares her stories so you can learn from her mistakes.
We also take a few shots at the state of Iowa, but it comes from a place of love.
In case you missed the launch or previous episodes, Tangential Parenting is a podcast featuring Rachel from Starship Suburbia and myself. We’ve know each other for quite a while, and it sometimes shows.
